“Romanisco Grande Reserva” is a blend of classic Douro Varieties “Touriga Nacional” and “Touriga Franca”. With intense ruby color, reveals a complex and deep aroma of ripe black fruit and violets, with balsamic and mint hints. Ageing in excellent French oak for about one year, balance this elegant wine with spicy and tobacco notes. Good quality tannins in a well-structured wine with an harmonious and
persistent end. The final blend was bottled and kept in cellar for 6 months before being released.
After achieving the ideal ripeness, the grapes are softly destemmed and fermentation in stainless steel vats with temperature control (27ºC – 28ºC). After post fermentation maceration and malolactic fermentation, the wine aged 6 months in small French oak barrels, followed by 6 months in bottle.
Excellent with roast and grilled meats, game or good cheese. Ageing may produce some natural deposit. Serve carefully. Serving temperature: 16 -18ºC in proper glasses
